Wills And Powers Of Attorney

Wills and Powers of Attorney are vital for every homeowner, every parent, every spouse. See what happens to your property, and whom the government will choose to manage it, when you don't get a will by Googling PA Intestate Succession. (Intestate means without a will.)

Without Powers of Attorney, if you become temporarily unable to make financial or health care decisions, your loved ones will be forced to petition for Guardianship, which takes months and is highly expensive. Wills and POAs are much more affordable.

We will delve into your loved ones' needs, with special attention on what public benefits they are on. We will look at options for either drafting plans to execute while you are alive, or plans that begin once you have passed, as well as different options for all types of budgets.

Guardianships

When a loved one is unable to make financial and/or health care decisions for herself and does not have a Power of Attorney, we may need to Petition for Guardianship. This means we need to show the court:

1) That the loved one who is considered Incapacitated by a physician; and

2) That the Petitioner is capable of handling their finances and/or health care decisions.
